The City of Auburn Hills celebrated Summerfest in June with three days of activities. On Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce hosted The Taste of Auburn Hills. On Friday, members of City Council served up ice cream to residents. And on Saturday, classic car owners took part in the By the River Car Show.

On December 3rd, 2010, Auburn Hills Mayor James McDonald presented Santa Claus with the key to the City during the 17th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Residents gathered to sing Christmas carols as the Mayor and Santa were joined by area children to light up downtown Auburn Hills.
